Vista final and forcing Aero for older gpus?

Hello,

We all know that RC1 as well as RC2 supported the registry hack for older dx9 non-compliant gpus turning Aero on. with the DWM (or sth) hack.

Now that the final version has blacklisted this CheckVersion key (or sth), is there some new way to bypass it?

:hello:

No, all registry keys and checks have been removed after RC2, either your card supports aero or it will not turn on

okay, i found a way for a final version, and it works.

Navigate yourself here: "C:WindowsPerformanceWinSATDataStorexxxx-xx-xx xx.xx.xx.xxx Assessment.WinSAT.xml" - open it with Notepad

Somewhere in this file you should see 'winspr' with tags. These contain 'system score', 'memoryscore', 'cpuscore', 'cpusubaggscore', 'videoencodescore', 'graphicsscore', 'gamingscore', and 'diskscore'.

Change the integrity. If you change it to 3.0, you can use AERO theme.

It wont give you any performance boost though but more slowing down i think
