Have a question to fix something quite annoying. When I plug in my iPod and synchronize it, this window comes up, or when I plug in my external hard drive or my USB memory key. I can't get the message to not com back even if I scan the drive. It's really starting to get on my nerves.

Heres the message I'm talking about:

I think I may have found a fix, but it woulds till be nice to be able to turn this scanning thing right off. I can scan the drive when I need to in the properties of the disk still.

The fix I have found that seems to be working. Open command prompt (make sure the drive is visible in Explorer, my iPod was put into disk mode) and browse to the drive. When your on the root of the drive, type "chkdsk /f" and let it run. If it asks to dismount the volume, let it do so. This seems to be working on my laptop so far.
