Can you make an Auto shape a solid black object

Does anyone know if you can make an autoshape solid black instead of a gray for a high end printing project. The word doc is turned into a pdf and the boxes are gray instead of black. Help!! THANKS!!

I didn't think it was that complicated.

Just right-click on autoshpae --> format autoshape --> in fill color, choose black.

By default, the line colors are black so I'm not sure why the "gray" in your question.
