advantage or disadvantage to network sp2

Is ther a advantage to using network sp2 over the regular sp2 for a home computer?

What do you mean network SP2 over regular SP2? Can you explain what you're trying to do?

I think what he's talking about is the redistributable sp2 vs the regular sp2.

You can use either one.

The install quality is the same. The network install is 260MB which only needs to be downloaded by hand once and the typical download through Windows Update is 120MB which will be downloaded every time. The smaller Service Pack from Windows Update does not install any faster. If you're going to install the Service pack upgrade more than once you are time ahead getting the network install. The real time savings is to slipstream SP2 into your install disks and you'll need the network install for that.

This is rfwoodwork, Thanks alot for the input about sp2. First I meant network version of sp2, the version Microsoft say is for IT Profesionals. the other is the version that you download from windows update. Thanks severach, for slipstreaming a xpcd I didn't know that they reccomend that you use the network version. You answered my question. Many Thanks.
