Run as admin + screen question

When I go to right click on a program and run it as admin I get the box to hit continue or cancel. If I clicked to run it as admin why do I have to hit continue again if I wanted it to be run in the first place? What other possible things could this save me from? I'm not a complete id*** to have loads of spyware. Is there any way to just turn that off for when I make things run as admin?

If i plug my desktop tower into my laptop to use it as a screen would that work? I think I did it before but it didn't.
