Windows components list

does anyone know how to edit the menu to add your own components in this list or switch out a program for the newer version?

please help

what im trying to do is update all programs so i dont have so many updates and its better to have the newest then the old ones!

u know the windows components list? in add / remove programs, and its also on the install cd, im wonding if there is a way to edit that and if there is a way to edit the programs on there with updated ones and compeletly remove the olds ones
