    Question: Is there a solution for the following issue? 'Re-installing XP on HP Pavilion zd 7000 for medical office which supports their EKG unit. At the install progress "Installing Windows" I get "An error has been encountered that prevents Setup from continuing. One of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed. Data error (cyclic redundancy check). If you are installing from a CD, there might be a problem with the disc; try cleaning the disc or using another disc. ......." 1.) Ran diagnostic for system board and it "passed" 2.) Cleaned disc and also used another XP ginuine disc "same error" 3.) checked Log File got "Error: SXS.DLL: Syntax error in manifest or policy file "E:\i386\asms\1000\MSFT\WINDOWS\GDIPLUS\DGDIPLUS.MAN" on line 4. xxx Error: Installation Failed: E:\i386\asms.
