I have been trying to install printers through the command line. This is so that I can install printers though batch files rather than installing them on multiple computers by hand.(There are over 50 computers at my work that I would have to install them on) I have been working my way though this and have made progress however I have run into a road block that I cannot seem to figure out. The printers are set to use direct ip printing. I have managed to use the script prnport.vbs (it is in system32) to create new ports. Then using rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry I have managed to add all the printers I need. Here is where I run into trouble. The printer that I a setting up is a monster printer/scanner/copier/automatic holepunch/stapler. Unfortunately this means that the default properties just don't cut it. I have been having trouble finding a way to export/import printer preferences. I have tried using printui.dll. It has a switch that saves the printer settings. These settings can only be imported on the machine that save them however. Trying to import these settings to an identical printer on another computer cause a "Command Failed" error. I was just wondering if anybody had any input/suggestions or another way to go about copying printer preferences to other computer. ~Kadir
