  1. I did that so far. But I'm still curious, because it looks like "something" in my system try to launch DCOM, or something that needs it. I guess, I can ignore them, first because it hasn't any visible consequence. Well, if anyone got an idea about, I'm still interested. Thanks.
  2. Good day. I'm used to disable service/enable services for my use trough the administration tools. But i'm getting some strange message in the snap event viewer. Two messages display approxymatly each 40 minutes: Type : error Source : EventSystem ID : 4609 Date : 21/06/2006 Time : 09:52:43 User : N/A Computer : ADMIN-WINDOWS Description : The COM+ service has detected an error. The HRESULT is 80070422 from the line 44 of d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Type : Error Source : VSS ID : 8193 date : 21/06/2006 time : 09:52:43 user : N/A Computer : ADMIN-WINDOWS Description : error when creation of CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80040206. Datas : 0000: 57 52 54 57 52 54 49 43 WRTWRTIC 0008: 32 31 34 39 00 00 00 00 2149.... 0010: 57 52 54 57 52 54 49 43 WRTWRTIC 0018: 32 31 31 31 00 00 00 00 2111.... I disabeld DCOM of course, first because I'm not using it and i haven't any external hard that uses it, and because it's a well-known process for his security holes. Here's the fact: I haven't any problem, nor stability, nor strange acts, with the computer, I'm just having this errors. And I don't need at all DCOM. I want just to know if i can do something against thoses errors ? Thanks for any advice. Kressens
