Second of all, I followed your advice and can see the folder printers in network places (after right clicking on 'My Network Places' it allows me to 'Search for Computers'. I search for computer A and it finds it and the printers) on computer B. I then 'connected' them. Same result. Since print jobs appear on computer A's print queue I'm beginning to think that it may be other than a network problem - perhaps a driver problem. Any thoughts? Also, interestingly enough, I ran a print test (diagonal lines) from the 'properties' button of the network printer (I'm on computer B now) and it ran the test!! Thanks for your help. First of all, Computer 'A' has a printer attached and computer 'A' is set up to share that printer. Computer 'A' can ping to 'B' and vice versa. File and printer sharing is installed. I those conditons apply then you can install the printer on Computer 'B' Installing the printer on 'B' is something you know. I hope. But If you don't, In explorer on computer 'B' goto my network places and in your workgroup find Computer 'A' If the printer is shared properly then you will see the folder printers. doubleclick and voila your printer. rightclick printer and connect. Friends, I have two PCs and a printer networked (the PCs are attached to a DSL modem). I have successfully shared files across the network. Computer 'A' has a printer attached while computer 'B' is set up to share that printer. I am quite sure that I followed the proper steps in setting up the networked printer. Computer A shares the printer while computer B allows me to print to \\Computer A\Epson CX6600. The problem is that when I try to print from computer B and select the aforementioned device name from the list of available printers (in Word for example), it won't print. If I go to computer A after trying to print from computer B I can see my print job in the queue of computer A but it won't start printing. To add the this mystery, while computer A is showing the queued print job, computer B is searching for the printer and can't find it. Any ideas? Thanks to all
