Yeah, that's what I figured, MS limits Words function, to force you to use Excel... Another question, in Word, you have to right click the formula and select "update field", is there a way to automate this to update automatically, like WordPerfet? Thanks in advance

I know in wordperfect you can reference a cell and it's contents with the tablename "+TABLE A,A1 ", is this possible in word? how do you find out the table name and can you display the table rows/columns? Please advise and thanks in advance
