I also tried that Registry hack from microsoft in an attempt to remedy the problem and it didn't work either. anybody know how to fix my problem?? attached are some screenshots of the errors that i receive.

  10. i posted this as a combo post earlier but to no avail. so this is sortof a repost. but anyway, ok every time my computer boots up i see the BIOS screen writing and then that dissappears and i see a blank screen (instead of the windows xp ntoskrnl.exe that is supposed to show up) I see a blank screen for about 30-45 seconds and then windows shows up. I usually takes longer to boot up aswell. when the ntoskrnl.exe worked it only took about 15-25 seconds to boot. please help. im not computer illeterate, I know computers but i dont like to mess with stuff that make my computer boot up, I have alot of my son's pictures that i can not afford to loose. Thanks in advance for your help Viper

  14. ok, almost every time I restart (or do a fresh start) right after windows boots up (about 30 seconds after the start menu appears). I get a BSOD. The stop code is this: STOP : 0x0000008E (0x0000008E, 0x00C6AA38, 0xB56F199C, 0x00000000) please help. I cant figure this out. Also while were on the topic of boot up's, i cant see my boot up screen. it goes from my bois screen to the "Windows is Starting..." screen with like 30-45 seconds of a blank monitor. I didn't change any setting as far as i know, no viruses or anything. please help me. Thanks alot. Viper Title edited -- Please, use [TAGS] in your topic's title.
