In adding a section break between my TOC and the body of the document I get an extra section break that I cannot see that shows up only when viewing the footer and telling me I am in section 3 of what should be section 2. This is screwing up my page numbering both for the TOC and the body of the document. How can I find and delete/control where the section breaks happen if they are not visible? Phoophh

I made some edits to a document, resetting the page numbering and then generted a new Table of Contents that would reflect the changes is page numbering. I then discovered some of the numbering was still incorrect and went to reset the changes in that section. When I went to update the Table of Contents I got this message: Error! Table of contents entries not found. I can still see the TOC markers and they still define themselves as TOC 1, TOC 2, etc. but they will not register in order to generate a Table of contents. I need to print mailing lables for a distribution list but I only get the option to print the entire address book in mail merge. Is there a way to do this? I'm using Office 2000 Phooph

Please see the post on Corrupted numbering for details. I had already tried the copy and paste into a new document before I did the save as html and then copy and past into a new document. So far none of the usual fixes are working. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeves that might do the job? Phooph

I have found the problem but it creats a new one. I had also set the document to be used and edited by mulitiple users. Being unable to edit the drawing objects and auto shapes is an impediment. Is there no way around this? Phoophh

I have created a flow chart using a workbook sheet and have placed auto shapes and drawn arrows to indicate flow. I had no problems until I colored the cells in the sheet. Now I can't select the arrows and auto shapes to move or resize them and half of the drawing toolbar is grayed out. Phooph

I have a 63 page document which looks fine till page 22 when the numbering bar at the bottom of the document begins to look like this: Page 21 Sec 14 22/63 Then at page 27 it changes to this: Page 25 Sec 30 27/63 I had some corrupted tables earlier which I rebuilt by hand after the recommended fixes didn't work. I have also saved as html and copied and pasted into a new document and saved as regular Word doc. The got rid of some problems but the numbering problem remains. This document uses styles and has a table of contents generated in the Insert menu. Are there any more tricks I might be able to use short of retyping the entire document from scratch? Phoophh
