  1. Okay, today my computer started doing something new. When I try to look into my hard drives' folders and files with Windows Explorer, the explorer locks up (not responding). I'm slowly losing the ability to access the files on my hard drive. The hard drive is quite old now (at least 6 years), could it just be time for a new one?
  2. I defragged my drive about three weeks ago.
  3. If I try to insert a picture from file, excel (and also word) locks up (ie:not responding). With word I can copy an image and paste it into a word doc (a sort of a work-around the problem). With excel I cannot copy and paste an image in? I used to be able to do this. Could this be a glitch that resulted from the latest windows update? As far as I can tell I have all the latest updates for windows XP and office XP pro. My system has also been extensively screened for viruses and spyware using a variety of programs (adware SE, adware-away, spybot, spyware doctor etc..). Any help would be appreciated.
