  1. You integrate it as a hotfix/update-pack in nlite. Point to the original ie7 setup. Or if u want to take it the *stupid* way, it's C:\ie.exe /integrate:C:\w2k3 I'm not sure but i think /integrate is only for XP sp2 and above.

    CPU at 100%

If it is System Idle Process, that process just shows how much of the CPU is idle, (ie, not being used).
  3. Try using it on a clean install or virtual machine. @muiz there was a patch to remove the toolbar from the installer, then the patchers starting distributing the installer w/o the toolbar and their site got taken down cos it was against their license to distribute.
  4. That's more like it, £ prices. Thanks, will look through. Overclockers have some slow server, took 5 mins to download the pdf (see full description here <linktopdf>) even on a download manager.
  5. Alcohol has a nice GUI, just enable everything it's hard for the first 10 seconds to configure the options but it's easy to use. But it's not free
  6. Autoit? WinWaitActive("Hardware Update Wizard") Send("{TAB}{ENTER}") I made this literally off the top of my head, I can't remember the window titles or what keystrokes to use. You'll need to make ur own, but this gives u an idea.
  7. Dunno about the UK, the only store near me (not online store) is pcworld and their best card is pny geforce 6800gt Maybe I'll scrap it and look online.
  8. I copied and pasted them. Like at the bottom of the Application Switches page, there is a link that sez "add new switch" or something. Just like that.
  9. I was thinking more a 6800... too expensive for me.
  10. @Shindo, he's saying his serial number wasn't accepted, not that he couldn't upgrade (he wouldn't be able to upgrade anyway). http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/upgrading/matrix.mspx u can't upgrade from xp mce.
  11. We don't know what u want. The most functional but slimmed down xp would be one that has everything in component removal gone except what's highlighted in red. You have to decide what to do, what u want or not, what u can do w/ur source or not. Edit: i got my home edition down to 200mb w/programs and addons.

    i386

nLite does it all. You wouldn't consider that quite a few of the files in i386 might actually be necessary You read the unattended guide. The link is in my sig. The WHOLE thing, not just what attracts you to read. In nlite, most if the stuff that is highlighted in red in component removal is needed for some kind of dependancy. Read the description and see if you need it. eg if u remove outlook express, opening MHT webpages in Internet explorer will fly away. And read the part about drivers on the unattended guide. c:\windows\system32\drivers doesn't actually contain too many hardware drivers, but drivers like supporting hardware. They're already in i386.
  13. If u formatted w/FAT32 or just FAT and it was a "Format with FAT (quick), not a full format, take it to a pc repair shop and they'll do it. Don't use ur hdd til someone sees it. Any disk write activity would make the data unrecoverable.

    Add a CD Key

    Look again. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/7/
  15. Well almost all recent games check for hw t&l. Like I bought elder scrolls 4 oblivion, http://srtest.com said I could run the minimum, if I had better graphics, it would be recommended, but it said that "A Direct3D-compatible graphics card could not be found. Now exiting." I'll just get a medium end Geforce and save all the bother. And I tried emulated cpu t&l on Lord of the rings ROTK but no go. And it needs hw t&l.
  16. Open the ua guide, in intermediate, in applications, in that menu, there are names of well used installers, e.g. inno setup, nsis, windows installer and installshield. Click them to know how to identify what installer is used. PeerGuardian2 uses inno setup, so the switches are /VERYSILENT /SP- It's all there. You can even add stuff to the database and edit it. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/admin/ You don't have to be admin, u can be a normal user, just the url has admin in it. And here for adding switches: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/page/add/switch/
  17. Just put rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 nameofinf.inf or regedit /s nameofregfile.reg I don't usually use iexpress, but I think if u use those commands, u have to put rundll32.exe ad regedit.exe into the package. You don't have to provide a path to the inf/reg if the exe is in the same dir as the inf/reg. And they both xtract to %temp%\somewhere
  18. Well, if the PrintCD is epson printcd, I can't look at it as it comes w/ur printer. Try running it at cmdlines.txt or svcpack.inf. Edit: not the whole batch, just PrintCD setup
  19. Well your first post wasn't clear either lol. Oh, and here, u say Which is the same as what mazin said. But then u say u changed what u were asking for.PS. You can't convert from inf to reg.
  20. Nice if u posted ur whole RunOnceEx.cmd file... And it's generally %PP%PRINTCD\SETUP.exe -s -f2"%systemroot%\Printcd.log try that. Another Runonceex entry in ur batch could overwrite it. Like said, post the whole thing.
  21. Not possible. Repackage it. I emailed their support and they said in v6.0 they'll use Installshield. So then it will be "/S /V/qn"
  22. You read the ENTIRE ua guide and it tells u. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/30/ under "» cmdlines.txt, svcpack.inf and [GuiRunOnce]" section It's right in front of ur eyes!
  23. If you removed them or the files were deleted (e.g. iexplore.exe, notepad.exe, ypager.exe etc) the icons disappear.
  24. this may help too for any other questions... Switches Search Engine And the ua guide has ways of telling which installer is being used in an installation... read ALL of it. It's very useful.
  25. nLite's more "peace of mind" than it speeding up your computer "like crap." But it does work and a less used hard drive ALWAYS speeds stuff up.
