  1. The group policy settings prevent users from accessing network neighborhood, altering any settings on the machines, basically allowing them to only carry out work and not to play around with background settings etc. The group policies also alter Internet Explorer to become customised by the administrators.
  2. Hi all, The company I recently joined currently uses roaming profiles, they want me to shift the accounts over to a mandatory system. We have a Windows 2003 Standard Server running as the DNS, AD, File and Print Server with about fifty users. Here is the problem, the mandatory profile works fine, its getting the group policies to successfully enforce onto the profile after logging into the workstation. After a bit of searching on the Internet, I read that mandatory profiles required write access to the shared folder to allow policies to work correctly. I tried altering the permissions in a variety of ways without any success. Would anyone mind helping me find out what I'm doing incorrectly?
