mine says beta 2 and i got the games to run

I have 1.8 ghz amd athlon barton 2500+ 1.2 gigs of ram ati radeon 9600 pro oviously running Windows Vista Beta 2 5270 everytime i play a game like doom 3 or even savage a old game it runs very slow is it because it dont support direct x 10? if thats the case is there any way remove it install direct x 9 to vista? or does it not supported or any other reasons?
