I am running into trouble with my network. I have a bunch of networked Windows 2000 machines and have added a Win XP Pro machine to the network. All machines have static IPs. I cannot connect to my peer-to-peer network. That is, I cannot use any shared files or folders, and this new XP box does NOT show on the list of machines in this workgroup. I CAN ping the server from the XP box, but cannot map a drive (path not found) or browse the network. I CAN access the internet from this XP machine. I have set my server's firewall to allow my XP box's IP through. I have disabled the Firewall on the XP machine. My server is set as the Master Browser, and the XP box is set to not maintain a server list. I have verified that this machine has the same workgroup name (I call them all "workgroup") as the rest. All machines are on the same subnet. Simple file sharing is enabled. NetBIOS over TCP/IP is ENABLED on all machines. Thanks for any help. Ed Mioducki
