  1. I am having a number of issues trying to setup a wireless network and a shared dial up connection. Current hardware. Desktop ( Host) PCI Ethernet card connected to one of the LAN ports on a D-Link DI-254 Wireless router Router is configured to 192.169.0.1 from the default 192.168.0.1 Desktop can connect to the admin portal. Modem for dial up connection to the internet. Connected and working. Shared for ICS. all three checks in advanced setting. UserID and password at set as well as automatically connect. ICS connection sporadically shows up as connected. Wireless wizard has been run on the desktop and encryption keys and WEP access have been configured on the laptop and on the router. Laptop Ethernet port ( currently not connect) Wireless LAN card and shows connected. Laptop can connect to the admin portal. ICS connection is enabled and shows connected. "view workgroup computers" shows both the desktop and laptop. browser is set to never dial a connection and LAN settings ahve all check marks removed. All adapters on both are configured to use automatic IP addresses. I am able to connect from the laptop to the dektop wirelessly and can access and modify shared file, folders and printers on the desktop. Problem #1: I am unable to access any shared resources on the laptop from the desktop and receive a network permission error. "view workgroup computers" shows nothing. Problem #2. I am unable to connect to the internet from the laptop using the modem on the Desktop. ICS permission are all checked on the host. When I open the browser on the laptop all I get is page cannot be displayed. I did have the two laptop connections bridged, but then ICS connection disappeared. This allowed the Destop to see the laptop but still failed connecting to any of the resources. Does the Desktop require a separate wireless ethernet adapter? I'm confused. Thanks
