    How to disable any P2P Network

    Your looking at the situation a bit aggresively if you ask me.

    Why dont you install BWMeter on his pc and just limmit the maximum upload and download so he can only ever use 70% of the network speed.

    To disable P2P is like slapping him in the face behind his back. He wont be happy.

    There might be a freeware tool that can do the same but thats what i used.

    is that a beta test request or not?

    or are you trying to imply xpge will be easier or faster to use :P

    hehheh, I was implying Beta testing Vista would take my hole life up theres so many bugs.

    :rolleyes: theres no bias with me and xpge :D which ever one gives me the 'perfect' windows

    xp install i dont mind.

    You'll have to set up a pay pal account though, i dont beleave in not giving anything back for your time.

    Edit -- I dont have time to beta test sorry heh im looking for jobs to much at moment.

    Both projects can learn from each other. Its Microsoft that holds the copyright, but not the glory!

    Would removing the assoc and ftype library speed things up?

    I know for a fact 80% of file type information stored i can do without.

    I only need .exe .ini system files as im not gona play music or any other files.

    Hello Aegis :hello: ,

    I just want to hear your opinions on the set up i have in my mind.

    A stripped out windows XP with support for games and

    ONE other program.

    Microsoft Virtual PC 2003 or VMware virtual os thingy.

    You see i want an optimal system for games,

    BUT when i want to surf the net or download programs i'll

    load up VPC2003 and wreck a virtual windows that can

    be restored very quickly.

    I know for a fact installing trial software tools + internet, completely screws an os.

    Thus seperate the two and while im at it, create a far better restore point! :thumbup

    Would it be possible for you to help me use your install settings

    and modify them just for games and VPC2003.

    Wireless network adapter is needed. :}

    You can of course point me in the right direction too and i'll try to make annother project. :no:

    But i am so crap with organising my time.

    When will the wait be over?? im growing impatient! :realmad:;)

    But we all know this guy is doing it out of his spare time, and

    thus who are we to demand!

    Maybe if we donated something to him via paypal :yes:

    Lets face it. This project is the answer to everyone who plays computer games needs.

    I say. Let him finish it in his own time.
