alright thanks guys...i was at camp for the last 7 days so i couldn't reply. Sorry for all the questions before just really eager . I'm not actually going to get the gtx 512 sli...it is a lot of money so what im going to do is get a xfx 7800gtx it is about $400 - $500 cheaper then the 512 so that's is what ill do and i will get a psu of ocz powerstream 520. One other wuestion so if your 7800gt works fine everything full graphics this will work really good right..What were your system specs ripken204

yep the 8 mb is much better but even then depending on what you want ur computer for you could get a 16mb cache and about 400gb

dont worry about last post just found out...sata is 150mb\sec speed sata 2 is 300mb\sec

well at the moment i just need the hard drive cause its for work and i 'lll up date everything in about 6 months when i quit lol.... I aam thinking of getting a 100 gb - 200gb and it says sata or sata 2 and i dont no what the difference is.. Because it is only like $3 in price... Thanxs

ok im getting cpu - 3600+ ahtlon 64 graphics card - im gettiong a gtx512 7800 Hard disk - yet to be decieded Motherboard - ill tell u when my uncle gives me it (i know it can take the sata connection) cd Drive - Cd-rw/dvd drive

would that be fine though...would the 50 more watts be fine for my computer??? and just one orther thing whats the difference between sata and sataII

i mean wats the difference between the sata's anything??? and can all the new motherboards pretty much take the sata connection

ok the 512 gtx ill get...if i get one of the other two should i still get the same powersupply the ocz powerstream 520. But if i get the 512gtx wont i need a better powersupply then 520 because i have 550watts recieving???Also i need a new harddrive so im going to upgrade to sata or sata2...One question with using sata's can they connect to any motherboards??? thanxs

ok sweet i think ill go for one of the power supply's u mentioned. Anyway does it matter if you have a huge power supply that ur computer doesn't use all up on...because im getting the card but before i get the card im going to get the power supply and i wanna know if i have to much power and not as much resistance will it harm my computer. cause the card itself is like 400wats and add my other hardware which would make about 550watts so if i get a 600 wat thingy will that mean 50 wats will go to waste and harm the computer or will i just be there for extra. Because if it is there just for extra then ill get the 600watt one thanxs

also with the power supply... what one would i need to buy to make this card awsome...you see im getting a pretty much whole new system and all i need is the graphics card and te power supply...at the moment i got a 300 wat one and that doesn't really help my 6600gt card so that is not going to even get close to getting the 7800gtx 512 working properly and one other thing would i need to upgrade to the best cooling system...Does the card get hot or is the heat fine and the power the only problem??? thanxs in advanced

yeh i dont understand...wats the difference between the sli and the normal one...which one is better because i was thinking the normal one was better on average with all the tests...and one other thing is it out yet??? does the sli mean you can put two of these cards together to make it one big powerful one...That would be bloody awsome except it would cost at least about $2000 australian which is like one trip to the states and back.

yeh... wat powersupply is need for these 2 x1800 and the 7800gtx and wat was the watts powersupply for the 512 7800gtx

ive got $1000 and i want to buy the latest graphics card....which is better ...i dont care about the price the x1800xt or the 7800gtx Thanxs i heard there were problems with the geforce 7800 with screen glitches and such...have they fixed these and is the x1800 really worth it???

ok i can get my hands on a athalon 3600+ a motherboard (pci-e) and a gig of ddr400 ram this all comes to about $350(american).. I have about 1k (aus) and i will only be gving about 225(aus) to it and my dad will be giving the rest . I need a graphics card that comes up to 750(aus) in price and that can be delivered to melbourne... I want one that will run good on this computer and that can be delivered and the graphics card can play all the up-to date games and software on full graphics. Thankyou

actually it turns out i can get my hands on a $1000 australian so any motherboard and cpu, harddisk and ram at that price that would make my x850xl run perfectly i would like to know... so yeah

yeh im in melb and nah i cant get a pci-e because my bro and dad are in america and are buying the agp one for me for about 200 - 300 dollars(us)...so i have to get an agp motherboard. so the gigabyte K8NS-9 Ultra...With the motherboards do they fit all hirdisks like sata and the other type... how much u reackon a good cpu would cost...remeber i dont wont a frikin awsome computer that would cost me tonees i just want a comp that will keep the x850xl perform to the best and not be shut down because of my cpu... also the budgert i would have to have in us dollars would be about 300dollars max...if i cant get an alright motherboard and cpu with that then i will have to save up...300 dollars is about 500 dollars aus Thanxs one other thing how do i fugure out my harddisk speed and details also sry for being a nag but how do i find out what type of ram i got and if it is compatible to the motherboard

yeh i wasn't going to i was going to get an amd athlon 3200+venice or somthing like that... its a socket 939 but there is a problem i dont noi what price to look at for a good motherboard and the cpu

Hey I'm getting an ati radeon x850xl for christmas and i want to know him my system can perform up to the best of the graphics card ability. I have 1 gig ram, an amd athlon[tm]xp 2000+ (socket a) and other miner details....would the x850xl perform to the best without overclocking it on this system or would i need another cpu.
