I was using Windows 98, but I had installed MS Office xp Pro w/Frontpage with Service Pack 2 I just upgraded my OS to Windows 2000, and whenever I start any Office xp Program, it brings up Windows Installer and asks me to find the installation package file PROPLUS.MSI : Since I have the CD, I direct it to find the PROPLUS.MSI file that is on my office CD: Once I select it and click on "OK", it does something in the background and comes up with this error: "The file 'E:\PROPLUS.MSI' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage. Try to find the installation package 'PROPLUS.MSI' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage. Then it goes back to asking me for the PROPLUS.MSI file. When i click on "Cancel", it simply starts the program (In this case, I was starting up Microsoft Frontpage). If I go to the CD and click on SETUP.EXE, it gives me this error: "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this product cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel. When I go to Control Panel and click on either Change or Remove, it once again asks me for the PROPLUS.MSI file (refer to the first image) When I started Frontpage and clicked on Help>>About Microsoft Frontpage, it says this: "Microsoft Frontpage 2002 (10.4128.4219) SP-2", so I know that my office xp is with Service Pack 2. I'm lost... completely clueless... I'm not very knowledgeble as far as all the Technical stuff is concerned. I wouldn't really mind just using Office just like that, but it doesn't let me install the other Office Programs that I had left out during my original installation, like Publisher or Speech-to-text. PS: Sorry, I got confused when I first saw this page. I didn't scroll down to see that I could have posted this topic here, which is its rightful place. I ended up posting the same thing in the MS Frontpage sub-forum first. I wanted to delete it by clicking on "Edit" (like phpBB), but I couldn't figure out how... Sorry for the trouble. Perhaps a Moderator could simply delete my other post: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=58611
