  1. Okay, so with macstorm's esoteric explanation i managed to figure it out. I however will post a DETAILED explanation because im sure lots of people may come here looking for a solution, read macstorm's and still not have a clue what to do. anyway. 1. click start, and then run. type regedit in the run window. (this opens up the registry editor. which you NEED to delete the "orphaned registry trace" i couldnt help but notice this was left out of someone elses explanation. 2. on the left hand side, go to this directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall/ 3. in there you must delete the folder YahooInternetMail. and that should get rid of it for you no problem. Also i had something in my control panel called Yahoo! Install manager and when i tried to delete that i got an error. All i did was delete another folder, which i think was called yhelp something or other. i forget exactly. Anyway i hope this helps.
