Any idea how does this compare to AVG Free 8.5?

I needed this and didn't like the ones I found, so I made it myself using NSIS, it's a silent installer for Foxit PDF Reader v3.0.1506.
- It won't add any shortcuts on the desktop.
-It will register the program automatically as the default PDF handler even if you don't run it first.
Well, that's it. Enjoy ^^

I been looking for a way to fix this problem for quite some time now, and the thread I found in this forum is dead, so I thought I'd share what I found.
All these problems occur when 2 system files "wer.dll" and "Faultrep.dll" are missing from "%windir%\System32" folder. Either they have been deleted by mistake or were not installed by Windows because of removing some Windows components from the setup.I made an SFX that will automatically extract the files where they belong, and hopefuly fix it for you as it did for me, you can get from here:

Or you can do it yourself, and in that case here are the missing DLLs:

Either way, choose ONLY ONE, you don't need both.
I hope that helps, enjoy.

Hi mooms,
Thanks again for the feedback
Yeah, I forgot to register the DLL but it's fixed now, and now I write directly to the registry instead of using a *.reg file, so it doesn't get any better than that
So, test it again and lemme know if you find any more bugs.

Do you have support for foreign languages like the original installer ?
everytime i tried an installer different than the official (like ones in the linked thread) i was disappointed as Unlocker was always in english (i want french)
Also, auto starting of the assistannt is not a good thing IMO, as it can break the install at T-13 stage. (it's important for folks like me who whant to install it via svcpack and not at gui runonce )
If you can make a version that install in French (and other language as well, according to your windows language ) and without auto-starting of the assistant (in fact i think it's completely useless and just a waste of space) it will be great!
First of all thanks for the welcome and the feedback
It took me a while to figure out how to manually change the language but I managed to do it in the end.
So, here it is a special version just for you
It will be -silently- installed in French (only) and the "Unlocker Assistant" will *not* be added to the system startup, I hope that helps, and if you got any comments feel free to lemme know
Note: although it doesn't run the assistant, but at the end of the silent install it will run a registry key (also silently) since that's what I use to change the language to French.

I wonder if anyone is still interested in this, anyways...
I didn't like the whole "ebay shortcuts" thing and didn't wanna remove it manually so I decided to make a custom silent installer myself.
I made it using NSIS, it's completely silent (duh! ) so you won't get any options and you can always uninstall the program normally.
Oh, and the installer itself is only 97KB or so and it doesn't add any ebay shortcuts.
I hope you find this a bit useful, enjoy

Foxit PDF Reader v3.0.1506
in Application Add-Ons
Posted
Well, I did say it's a silent installer ;p
I use it from Runonce, easier for me.
Thanks for the hash, I forgot about that hehe
Sorry, I didn't integrate anything, just the basic Foxit, nothing more, and it installs in %programfiles%\Foxit Reader\
Interesting, but looks rather simplistic compared to Foxit, thanks for the suggestion anyways
