  1. Recently I've met the same problem as what you have.I'm just installing from HDD,and my solution is to copy $OEM$ folder which is beside i386 folder into i386 folder, then it works! However I just couldn't understand why ought two $OEM$ folders? Seems different from any reference materials I've seen. My English's so poor and I hope someone will understand it.
  2. Sorry, I didn't notice that, and I must apologize for that.
  3. I'm going to integrate WMP10 in XP pro sp2 disc, and is referring to the folowing material: ------------------------ Slipstreaming Windows Media Player 10 ===================================== quote from www.msfn.org Im not sure if it hasnt been done already, but this topic, as the title plainly states, is about how to slipstream WMP10 into your Windows CD. 10 Easy Steps to Slipstream WMP10: 1. Download WMP10 here. 2. Extract the files using the /C switch. 3. Delete all files except: asferror.dll blackbox.dll CEWMDM.dll custsat.dll DRMClien.dll DrmStor.dll drmv2clt.dll LAPRXY.DLL logagent.exe migrate.exe mpvis.DLL msnetobj.dll MsPMSNSv.dll MsPMSP.dll msscp.dll MSWMDM.dll Plylst1.wpl Plylst10.wpl Plylst11.wpl Plylst12.wpl Plylst13.wpl Plylst14.wpl Plylst15.wpl Plylst2.wpl Plylst3.wpl Plylst4.wpl Plylst5.wpl Plylst6.wpl Plylst7.wpl Plylst8.wpl Plylst9.wpl qasf.dll setup_wm.exe unregmp2.exe WMADMOD.DLL WMADMOE.DLL WMASF.DLL WMDMLOG.dll WMDMPS.dll wmerror.dll wmidx.dll WMNetMgr.dll wmp.dll wmp.ocx wmpasf.dll wmpband.dll wmpcd.dll wmpcore.dll wmpdxm.dll wmplayer.adm wmplayer.exe wmploc.DLL wmpshell.dll wmpui.dll WMSDMOD.DLL WMSDMOE2.DLL WMSPDMOD.DLL WMSPDMOE.DLL WMVCORE.DLL WMVDMOD.DLL WMVDMOE2.DLL 4. Optionally customize your full mode skin: Ever wanted to change the default skin for WMP10 full mode? Most or all of the bitmaps are located in a file called wmploc.dll. Wmploc.dll can be found in the SYSTEM32 folder. Using a resource editor, replace these bitmaps to your own liking. Make sure the file version remains the same, ie you can't use a skin for WMP8 in WMP10. This tweak can also be used in other version. 5. Compress all files by running "makecab filename destination". 6. Copy all the cab files into your i386 folder. 7. Find HIVEDEF.INF in your i386 folder and open the file. 8. Add this line below [AddReg]: HKCU,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences","AcceptedPrivacyStatement",0x00010003,1 9. Save the file. 10. And you're finished! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nice guide but just for the records I'd like to warn everybody about modifying their I386 distribution folder. Many times, people come around and complain about trouble they have with their Unattended Setup. Messing up with the files in your I386 distribution folder WILL make troubleshooting harder. For instance: - Replacing or "updating" files (inf, dll, compressed cab, etc.) - Adding new files - Removing files for space saving (drivers, etc.) Please use extreme caution when doing this and keep a log of the changes you have made Only exception: svcpack folder svcpack.inf winnt.sif bootfix.bin (press any key to boot from cd...) LANG folder (remove if not needed) WIN9XMIG, WIN9XUPG and WINNTUPG (remove if not needed) You'll never know what could happen later and you should always keep your I386 distribution folder as genuine as possible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Incroyable HULK is right that a certain amount of precaution should be taken when replacing files in the i386 directory. To prevent such errors, i would suggest that before you install Windows with WMP slipstreamed onto your main computer, that you test it out on a virtual machine. On another note, Microsoft files are usually safe if the version you replaced the original with is newer than the original. Now my question is the 5th step, make cab files for each file separately? And how to name them?Any reruirement ? OR Add those files in one cab?How to operate? And also the name of it? thaknks verymuch
