  1. A company installed a 3rd party piece of software on our server, which it works fine on. We installed a windows XP pro standalone system which IS NOT joined to the domain. It seems that the application runs fine when the computer has not accessed the server. If you access the server (windows 2003 standard), entering a username and password for directory access, all of a sudden the application will not work on the XP machine like the server effected it. The error generated is: The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Function isn't available in expressions in query expression 'Date()-[inventoryDate]' NEW- I also cannot access the local Application log on the WinXP Pro machine now... It says that 'Access is denied'

  3. I did not mean at as a repost... this is a whole issue above that. I had that working, then needed this answered. Then that part broke.
  4. Well, the internet nic has ip 192.168.1.3 and the local one is .1.2 It worked fine that way under win2k3 sbs ? Hammer time yet?
  5. Ok, so... the internet connection was working. with both adapters enabled. All of a sudden while the local network nic is enabled the server will not get on the internet. When I disable the network adapter going to the local network, the server gets on the internet just fine. I think I need a hammer and some caffine... Why can't standard just have the internet connection wizard..?
  6. Ok, we had everything up and running with small business server 2003 using the 'connect to internet wizard' I do not see this on the 2003 standard though. I need to get everyone connected to the internet. The ip address of the nic connecting to the router is 192.168.1.3 The ip address of the nic connecting to the internal network is 192.168.1.2 I need to figure out configuring the RAS, DHCP, DNS etc... I just am not getting it quite right.
  7. I am on a windows 2000 box now, not the 2003. I know that.
  8. Ok, new update... it seems that when I look the 'local policy' box is checked, but the 'effective policy' box is not checked and greyed out. I am assuming that this means that it is not enforced. How do I set it so that it is enforced if this is the issue?
  9. On windows 2000 when I creat the group is it 'global'??? I am not sure on some of these options, I tried that and no luck
  10. For some reason I cannot find the 'everyone' group!? How do I check if that is setup properly... I may need that command to fix any imperfections I may have made. Thank You!
  11. I can log into TS via Administrator username. Any others I get the error 'The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively' I have tried google and several instructions to fix the problem and have made no progress. Any help is much appreciated! Paul
  12. Yes. I actually purchased the TS cals
  13. I read that and I am looking into it. Problem is that gets REALLLLY expensive for a company running 1 small piece of software and need 6 people to use it though TS. That is all they need to do. ? I used remote web and the same connection rules apply. So if I have a 5 CAL on the win2k3 sbs and do a seperate installation will it allow me to install terminal services? If terminal services is all I will be running is there a way I can reinstall the OS to be configured to let me install and use TS, make the machine other than a domain server? Thank You Paul
  14. Through that can I have up to 6 people connected and working off of the 2k3 small business server?
  15. I installed a 5 user CAL on win2k3 Small business server. I cannot get more than 3 users on. Now it is set back to 'Remote desktop for administration' with a limit of 2 users again. I need help trying to get 5 simultaneous connections. They will not always have that many on, but it is possible that they will. Thank You! Paul
