  1. i have slipstreamed Windows XP Pro with SP2 and Office Pro2003 with SP1, and made unattended installs for both. however if i try to put them on the same disc it comes to just over a GB, no use because for some reason i cannot persuade DVDs to Boot. is it possible to have the windows install on one disc and thenhave it demand the other disc at the right momoent? if so how is it done?
  2. Does anyone know of a way to persuade AutoExec to wait until document1 is loaded before running? I need it to make a change automatically to the document so it avoids the auto close problems i am having with another macro at the mo
  3. i think this is because the templte you are using is in an untrusted location, change your macro security settings, (tools> macro> security) make sure the security level is et to medium, and then on the trusted publishers tab make sure th trust all installed addins... box is checked should sort it out
  4. the message isn't really an error, but it could be a clue, it reads: 1. vFD 1.44MB System Type-(06) then it sits there till you press a key at which point the machine reboots. Wierd methinks? p.s. yes the drive is set to master
  5. cheers vakhal, sounds like it would be worth me looking into it! good quetions warrior1109, there hasn't been an error message it has just been skipping and ooting the copy of windows trhat was already there, until today, i was trying it on adifferent machine to see if it was a drive speciufic error (it doesn't seem to be) and i did get an error message somthing to do with 1.44MB drive. could i have been burning it so it thinks its a small floppy? i'll have another look when i get afree minute and tell you what the message said exactly.
  6. thanks activedesign, i am indeed using dvd-r on the same writer as i am using to boot (i am switching out the hard discs) still no luck! vakhal raises an interesting point, i use nero because i find it is flexible enough to fit most of my needs and i am familiar with most of it, why have more than one piece of software installed for the same application? whats better about pegasis?
  7. a good idea but the cmos settings are cdrom first, then hdd then floppy
  8. Chers i'll give that a go!
  9. thanks wiredbits that does help, but the dvd still won't boot properly!
  10. Hi, i'm relatively new to the unattended thang, and i am having some problems getting a dvd to boot in order that i can make my xp setup fully unatended and also install offfice at the same time. i have been using nLite and creating a bootable iso image with this, then mounting hte image with deamon tools, in order that i can copy it using nero express (probably not the most efficient way of doing this but i can't work out how to burn the iso direct using nero) everything goes fine and in a virtual machine the iso boots up just fine, but whne i inster the burnt disc into a physical machine it cannot use it to boot! it driving me crazy!! any help would be great! am i missing somthing really obvious?
