OK im slightly confused. I want to multiboot, but I don't want the kind of multi-boot found in the multiboot forums, i just want the cd or floppy to be like the traffic controller: If no floppy or cd boot disk, run windows xp as normal If floppy or CD boot disk is found. I press 1) to load Windows normally or 2) to load Linux which is on my D drive, but no MBR exists. Is that possible? or do I need to make a boot record for both? How do you do it with NTFS? the only way i know is to have C:\ - FAT - 100MB partition (for MBRs only) D:\ - FAT32/NTFS - XXG partition (for Windows XP) E:\ - FAT32 - XXG partition (for Linux) is that how I would have to do it? can I make a floppy disk that looks like the C: drive above so I don't need to move windows off of C: ? Any help would be great to clear my confusion. Thanks, DssTrainer
