Just4,
To add a new item to the Search menu you need to develop a find extension (aka search handler). I guess you can ask developers of Locate32 to do this for you and other customers. As far as I know it's very easy coding. It might take about one working day.
Have a nice day,

Hello.
Oh_key, I'm afraid you won't find such a registry hack for .lnk files. As far as I know you need to load the shelllink and resolve it. After this you'll be able to find the target object. At least Context Magic doing so. I agree with maxXPsoft, you'll need a .dll.

Hello.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this to current conversation, but I've
discovered some traffic peak in my logs, so I guess you're interested
in useful shell extensions.
Here is a couple didn't mentioned before.
Windows shell extension that displays extra data stored in the tag fields of
MP3, WMA and Ogg Vorbis files in a tooltip window next to the mouse pointer.
Also it provides a quick preview for plain text files, shortcuts properties and
version information of executable files.
A tiny image viewer shell extension that displays image thumbnails in a tooltip
window, when mouse pointer is hovered over an image file in Windows Explorer.
Here is a screenshot:
A small picture viewer that provides image files preview directly in the right-click
menu.
Note. This one is similar to PicaView, but has less functions and is much more lighter.
Here is a screenshot:
Hope they will be of help to you.
Have a nice day,
Leonid

Is there a way to add to the Start > Search menu?

Hi everybody,
I had some spare time and decided to spend it developing this little tool.
It just puts the Locate32 item to the Start > Search menu. On clicking
this item the handler launches Locate32 as you wanted.
I haven't found how to upload a file to this forum, so I put it on
our web site at: http://www.contextmagic.com
The direct download link: Locate32 Search Handler
To install this tool follow these steps:
1. Unzip the archive to the folder where Locate32 is installed.
2. Run the _reg.bat file.
3. Have fun
Please direct your comments to this topic.
Have a nice day,
