  1. Real simple to explain yet I can't find a solution, I'll try here. I have Outlook 2003 SP2, a co worker at another location with the same email program sent me an email with contacts in the attachments, so I would be able to open his mail click on each file (.vcf ) and save them in my contacts folder. Clear? When I recieved his e mail and I opened I see the files in the attached but they show up as regular.msg files and only open as text. Clear? I have 2 pc's in my network, both have Outlook 2003 SP2 and I have the same problem in those pc's as well. Clear? The person sending the vcard attachments to others have no problem opening the files. what I tried so far, forwarding the mail to somone else and they open with no problem the attachments in the mail I cannot open where made the following way. contact folder in O look, select 2or 3 contacts, select forward as v card. contacts no appear in attached file. I did the same and I see the .vcf in the attached, I sent the mail to myself and that is the only time I see the attachement as a .vcf file and able to open. Can someone help me here because this is causing havoc for me.
  2. Now I see this problem exists only on my IMAP mailboxes, my POP mailbox lets the mails go through, is there a different setting for IMAP mailboxes?
  3. I'm using a bulk e mail program to send our customers e mails. To test it I've been sending test mails to one of my addresses. I get the test mail but outlook thinks the message is spam and sends it to the junk mail folder. I have tried several times to add the sender to the safe list, add the senders domain to the safe list as well. I open the safe list and see the sender (which is actually me) as a safe address. The only thing I can think of is this e mail program is stored on a server in the Netherlands. In the junk e mail options tab it gives me the message header info : Return-Path: <newsletter2@ultimate-dj-gear.com> X-Envelope-To: info@udgusa.com X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=7.6 required=5.0 tests=AWL: 0.178,BAYES_50: 1.567,HTML_80_90: 0.036, HTML_IMAGE_ONLY_08: 2.73,HTML_IMAGE_RATIO_02: 1.125,HTML_MESSAGE: 0.001, HTML_TITLE_UNTITLED: 0.792,MIME_HEADER_CTYPE_ONLY: 0,MIME_HTML_ONLY: 1.156 X-Spam-Flag: YES X-Spam-Level: ******* Received: from juan.eatserver.nl ([212.203.14.64]) by groupware.campai.nl (Kerio MailServer 6.1.2) (using TLSv1/SSLv3 with cipher AES256-SHA (256 bits)) for info@udgusa.com; Tue, 25 Apr 2006 04:40:55 +0200 Received: from juan.eatserver.nl (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by juan.eatserver.nl (8.12.10/8.12.10/SuSE Linux 0.7) with ESMTP id k3P2etmi032107 for <info@udgusa.com>; Tue, 25 Apr 2006 04:40:55 +0200 Received: (from wwwrun@localhost) by juan.eatserver.nl (8.12.10/8.12.10/Submit) id k3P2etoQ032106; Tue, 25 Apr 2006 04:40:55 +0200 Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2006 04:40:55 +0200 Message-Id: <200604250240.k3P2etoQ032106@juan.eatserver.nl> To: info@udgusa.com X-Original-Subject: LOIOI if you read the header info there are several hosts this mail bounces from before it gets to me, I have info@udgusa.com on the safe list as well as the others any help here?
  4. I have distribution lists set up in the contacts folder of OL 2003. I have auto complete on but it does not bring up any names when I begin to type. Do I have to also input the names on the distribution lists as seperate contacts? Cause I did that and I still don't get the auto complete to work. Only way I get auto complete to suggest is I sent a test e mail to a certain address. if I start to type in that address the auto complete remembers it. Please dont tell me I have to send to all the addresses once to have auto complete remember the rest of the addresses. any help rdee
  5. OK, I have been using Outlook Express 2000 for a while now. For our business I created .wab address / e mail lists in OL Exp 2000 for certain customers (like: e mail lists for customers in different states) I was able to bulk e mail all the customers on each list and it gave me flexability to send bulk e mails with different messages using different lists. I am trying to migrate into OL 2003 and I'm totally lost on how to get the same result. I want to import e mail addresses from OL Exp 2000 and save them in different folders either in an address book or contacts in OL 2003 so when I do a bulk e mail or have to add new addresses, they go in to the list I choose. Am I clear? All I'm able to do is to import addresses from the Main Identity Contact folder in OL Exp 2000 into OL 2003. The actual folders I need to export would be sub folders in the Main Identity Contact folder in OL Exp 2000 follow? any kind of help appreciated, this is killing me. rdee
