  1. Well, I managed to get a copy of RadioDestiny Broadcaster from a friend, and I get an error. Now I know the problem, but I don't know how to ix it. Here's the error: Now, I connect through the internet via a Windows 2000 PC on my network, with Zone Alarm on it. Does anyone know how I can do the above (read error message) using Zone alarm? Thanks
  2. Well, when I click Encode, and start broadcasting whatever file I want, it doesn't play on my speakers, so I just went into WMP 10 and connected to the address it gave me, and it worked. I tried this on the PDA attatched to my PC, and it too worked, but it never worked when I tried it from another PC
  3. Well, I've decided that I want to try and set up a small internet radio show, using my pc as the server. Now, I know you can pay for servers that have shoutcast, or something like that, but I'm looking for the free alternative of using my computer. Now, I found a program on my computer (it was installed with another program) called Windwos Media Encoder 9. It allows me the option to either connect to a server that supports it, or use my pc as a dedicated sever, and gives me a url that I tell people to go to listen. However, I can't get anyone connected, not even computers running on my network. The address it would give me would be something like: http://192.168.0.139:2400 Has anyone ever used Windows Media Encoder to broadcast audio from their PC? Or if anyone can tell me a program that I can use as an alternative, that would be great. EDIT: I just learned something about a direct IP Problem? The site told me that my IP address was something different from what the windows media encoder told me. Now, I just realized, I connect to the net through the another computer on my network, so maybe this is the problem?
  4. Well, I've had longhorn working for a while (right as I downloaded v 4074, the Beta was released, and I can't convince my friend to Dl a 2 Gb file ). But anyways, when I start up, it asks me to install a multimedia controller for my audio. And, when I search for drivers, it doesn't come up with anything. When I cancel, I can't hear any audio from my PC. Now, I don't have any sound card, I just use the port that's built-in to the motherboard. Also, when I try to install some drivers for my Video Capture device, it says that they have to be approoved by some system... is there any way to do that, short of nagging the product creators for a longhorn/vista driver? Thanks!
  5. Well, I just got more memory (up to 640 now), and I haven't had a single issue, so I'm going to keep it By the way, is there any program that I could use to change the interface around? I thought of RESHacker, but I couldn't find the dialogue menu for the actual interface.
  6. Well, I get lots of errors using IE7, so I'm going to go back to IE6. However, when I run the installer, it tells me that it won't install because there is already a version installed. Any help?
