  1. config.jx and wpi.hta are the only files I have modified. I included the "check.js" file because it was noted within the error. Yes i did nlite my current installation of WIN XP MCE, but the WPI and any programs i wanted to install are on a seperate DVD, processed seperately from my WIN XP MCE CD.
  2. well im attempting to run wpi from A cd, not THE winxp cd so i copied win51 to the new cd. didnt know if i had to but i did. i also changed the entry in wpi.cmd from %~dp0 or whatever it was to %cdrom% so wpipath=%cdrom% the problem im having is it only checks default on 5 programs and if i try to check the utilities master checkbox then the error comes from line 193 any help to dispose of this chatter is greatly appreciated... included the check.js file as well as my config.js file and wpi.hta file converted to text lol... i still have the original thanks, the freak check.js config.js WPI.hta.txt
  3. is diskpart capable of being automated??? last time i new it wasnt. while using Nlite i noticed a checkbox for autopartitioning... but it doesnt allow you to specify what sizes for what drives... i want everything automated... i used nlite to create a full unattended installation so i wouldnt have to do anything... im lazy as hell. So i dont want to have to try and fool around with anything if i all of a sudden need to reinstall windows cause my ghost of C: was corrupt or something. any other ideas?
  4. ok what im trying to do is a full unattended installation catch is "program files" is going on drive d:\ i want to autoformat::: c: = 8g NTFS Quick d: = autosize NTFS Quick how do i do this??? thanks in advanced, freak
  5. ok well now i have created a starwars.cmd with the appropriate cmds and have it called by WPI. its dependent of starwars and vice verce while ordered as second. secondly while before i had winnt.sif calling a batch.cmd that called wpi.hta.... i FINALLY noticed wpi.cmd (fluttery NooB feelings)... and rewrote my winnt to include that instead. I had to get rid of almost all of my silent installs cause acrobat was refusing to work even after using the install tuner adobe provides... and then i had to tell acrobat it was second in order to office xp... kept trying to walk all over office and then gave an error that an installation was already in progress please try again... so.... acrobat, and photoshop are no longer silent installs... and starwars didnt show any progress at all... i like /passive... but that wont work with starwars and it was taking too long.. so i reverted that from silent mode too. however... all in all everything is working now. The only thing i think WPI needs is a check that keeps the next installation from starting until the previous install is complete. it probably already has this... but if it does its not working with acrobat, acrobat reader, and adobe photoshop... or maybe i should be calling the .msi instead of the setup.exe. i dont know. thanks guys... and the thing with the progressbar was a windows thing... i used classic install theme so it looked like windows 2000 does during the GUI part of the install... during "windows is detecting and installing your devices" section was where the freeze would occur. however it seems to have fixed itself so no worries. and cd key removed... thanks...
  6. ok... so im using WPI to install starwars battlegrounds.. and i created a silent install command1 = "%systemdrive%\Install\Applications\StarWars\GameData\Setup.exe -s" and i want to do something like rename %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game\Battlegrounds.exe %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game\Battlegrounds.bak rename %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game\Battlegrounds_x1.exe %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game\Battlegrounds_x1.back copy %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\StarWars\No-CD\Battlegrounds.exe %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game copy %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\StarWars\No-CD\Battlegrounds_x1.exe %systemdrive%\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game would these commands go the command slots as they are? would i have to include a wait command in command slot 1??? i mean i know what i want to do but im not entirely sure if i can do it in wpi... please help. on second note... my xpcd.iso has been really wiggin out on VMWare... the progress bar stop on detecting and installing devices at about 25%... the last iso i put together did the same but installed just fine on a real machine... i dont want to waste dvd's though if my configs are wrong... im posting my wpi config and my winnt.sif for anyone interested to peek at... id like to know if I have messed anything up. config.js WINNT.SIF
  7. I have successfully gotten nero to install silently with the /qn switch... however... if there is any way to make it self registering i would like some help.
  8. i followed everything to the T so i dont know what happened... prolly a fluke method one worked perfectly toh and thanks "sneak-y" =P
  9. I have been systematically removing all references of unfound files in txtsetup.sif... it seems that as i am deleting these files... that ALL of the mass storage drivers are coming up as not found errors even though they exist in their respective compressed folder. so far i have deleted references of: dac960nt viadsk.sys aliide.sys mraid35x.sys ultra.sys adpu160m.sys viaidexp.sys dpti2o.sys and each time i delete a reference... a new not found driver shows up... im going to try using method 1 as i have condensed the iso to 542 mb... and illl see what happens... any other help is appreciated. im using all updated packs and base. *update* after using method 1, everything worked completely.. no errors, no missing files, and ALL of my drivers were installed before logging on. Thanks goes to "the sneak" btw like the tiger... lol
  10. im using: V5.07.3 - DriverPacks BASE V5.07.1 - DriverPack Chipset V5.06 - DriverPack CPU V5.07.1 - DriverPack Graphics A V5.07 - DriverPack Graphics B V5.07.2 - DriverPack LAN V5.07.1 - DriverPack MassStorage V5.05 - DriverPack Sound A V5.04.3 - DriverPack Sound B V5.04.4 - DriverPack WLAN well... i tried replacing files in the /i386 folder... copied "aliide.sys" after which my next vm run stated i was missing viaidexp.sys... so i copied that... now its saying im missin viadsk.sys of which i have no copies of anywhere... im really having a rough time of this. (pls note that i have never seen a request for viadsk.sys before)
  11. Hey, Great combos man.... much grats Im also having a hard time with this aliide.sys file... i slipstreamed your packs using method 2 AFTER i used nlite to SS all of my hotfixes and create my unassisted files... My one problem though is I havent tested the build before SS the pack... forgive me please... I have noticed however that the file IS missing... its nowhere to be seen. Can i use the original? or will that affect my installation adversly? ty
