  1. I hope that new week will start with USP5

    PS: Check this out  Link

I checked that out once, 7-max memory manager, but it required you to reserve RAM for use with 7-max but you couldn't tell it to just use all RAM and start all apps using 7-max. You had to start those apps a certain way... basically it sounds to me like a good idea that needs a bit of work.

I would love to see another project of this guy added to one of the SP5.1 packs though. That is 7-zip. That app rocks and total freeware. Check out... 7-Zip.

Good to see that SP5 is moving right along. I look forward to seeing the final product. Once it goes "gold" I bet you get a million downloads. Especially if you can get a post on neowin.net or www.msfn.org or one of the other geeky pages that post this kinda thing. :hello::hello::hello:

  2. Hi everyone :)

I'm dealing with the legal aspects of my Unofficial SP5, because I've been advised to do so.  These things need to be cleared up before I proceed to public release.  I'm considering to just give Microsoft a call and ask their opinion, because I honestly can't make much sense of their EULA's.

But don't worry - things will work out somehow.  They always do B)

    Best regards,

    Gurgelmeyer

You might try emailing Bart Lagerweij of BartPE fame. He ran into some EULA type issues as he was developing BartPE so he may have some suggestions on who to contact or places to start.

  3. I just got a replacement for my faulty HDD and I'm glad I found this forum thread. I am interested in slipstreaming your SP5 into my Win2K CD before I re-install.

    Couple questions...

1.) I noticed someone mention that having a SP5 installed might cause problems with Windows Update in the future. Any further information on this?

2.) How's it coming? My new HDD is burning a whole threw my desk waiting to go into my computer.

I wanna be clear that I am not a whiney grabby guy that expects everything in the world for free, etc. If you get it done and when then I'll be thankful, but I am just curious because I want to know if I should bother waiting for it to be finished or if I should just go ahead and re-install w/o it.

Thanks Gurgelmeyer, Project looks great. Way to fill the Gap.
