I am having the same problem. I was wondering if there was any resolution to the issue. From what I can tell for whatever reason when you click the filename.dot likn it tries to open it as a .doc file. If you save it, it also tries to use the .doc extension. I am trying to get my intranet available for use and ran into this road block. If anyone knows a way to get .dot files to open as .dot files from IE please let me know. Edit: I had a co worker try to open the file with Firefox and it allowed word to open and the macro to run no problems. I have my word set to not run inside IE also. Any help would be great
