  1. I have read people can do this ... But now matter how much I strip things from my Vista installation disc, I always end up with no less that 3GB ISO output-ed from vLite. So, what should I do to end up with about 700MB ISO. Thank you.

Sorry I just saw this thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/Image-smaller-why-t124351.html

I will give that a try first ... and post back when I got something.

natural lanuage and speech takes around 2GB so its a good start

media center also takes around 400MB

  2. Well i can get my service pack slipstreamed with out no prob.. BUT thats a but, i do get issues when im in a vmware , first im using the english version before svcpack my version is : 6.0.6000.16386 after service pack its : 6.0.6001.18000 and i got my file from ms.. i have 2 versions of the svcpack with different file sizes and tried them both.

My issues are when vista is installing via vmware just before it gets to the desktop i get the following:

    -=> INSTALLING SERVICE PACK: 3 OF 3 100% COMPLETE.

DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER.

Then the computer just keeps rebooting and showing the same message over and over and rebooting.. i did see something flash on the screen for a half second about. System even failed to log ????? thats the part i missed..

    ScOOt3r

i have the same stage 3 error

it keeps reboots itself and sounds like the manual Sp1 update

am using a vlited vista x64 retail

used vLite 1.1.6 Final, the other versions worked fine

the problems comes after running windows update

  3. what about addding a WHQL for the x64 editions?

as in if i run a unattened vlite vista sp1 DVD and go to buy food

but now it stops becose if one of the drivers arnt WHQL it wont go unattended ;/

so my request is, make a dialog that says what drivers arnt WHQL and do you want to include or not include etc

and on wallpapers and sceensavers, what about including 1 of them and skip the rest it will go a like 1MB bigger but it wont give you the OOBE error on first logon if am not mistaking :P

and one last thing what about adding the ability to change Folder Properties default to What kind of folder do you want to be all items as default, am sure many will agree with me ;)

    and another

Notification Era > hide inactive icons should be disabled so it dont hide them option

    have a niiice day

all heil for nuhis great tool

PS: got my vista DVD to 1.01 GB (1,087,635,456 bytes) wee :P
