  1. Hi, Just wondering if any of you know how to disable the double click feature on the start menu. I have a computer in a networked environment, and dont want it to be able to double click the start menu which has been re-directed. So the position it puts my users in, is when they log onto the network, then they double click the programs label in the start menu, they are taken to the server where it originate. Then all they have to do is click the "up one level" button, and they are able to view the server/network. Any help would be great. Thanks Neil
  2. This is ok, but it deosn't really answer the question that i posted, but thanks for the comments
  3. Hi all, I'm after finding a regtweak or somethign similar to be able to customize the "file/open" and "file/save as" dialogue boxes. The main aim of this is to be able to remove the "up one level button from these dialogue boxes, as the computers are part of an educational network, and we dont want our students to browse for anything other than their home area. If that is not possible, then it would be really good if we could customize the "look in" bar so that when they drop it down all they see is their home area. Both problems above i have tried serching Google for a couple of weeks and have not really found anythign that i want, but i did come across this forum, so lets hope some of the genius' on here can help? Some of the RegTweaks i have found on here, i have implemented, and it has help a hell of a lot with the "locked down" image that has been created. We have used a lot of group policy to lock it down already, but we need just that little but extra to be completely safe. Thanks in advance for your help Neil
  4. Just want to introduce myself, i'm Neil, i work at a very busy college, and am currently building a Windows XP build to roll out to our curriculum network. We have had great fun in trying to find loads of tweaks and registry edits, and we are doing pretty well, just want to find a couple more fixes.
