  1. The drivers on the website are exe files, and wont work with Vista (a message comes up saying so). When i try to manually update the drivers using the drivers that the exe extracted, i just get installing driver software for ages, until it gos away and nothing has changed.
  2. Hi there, Does any one know how i can get my vedeo card to get a higher resoloution that 640x480 (probally needs vista drivers). THe computer is a dell dimension 2400 and the device is a Intel 845G/845GL/845GE/845GV graphics chip (onboard) Many thanks in advance, Rob
  3. Thanks for all your help guys. I started in safe mode and bingo, there was the security bit, so i just re-took ownership then re-set the permissions. Thanks, Rob
  4. I know a person who had a similar problem, he disabled lots of devices in his system, that did not fix the problem. He then converted to NTFS, and bingo, it now works perfectly. Il see if i can get him to join here and post more info on his exact system specs and what games But if your drive supports it, it cant do any harm to convert to NTFS anyway (if im wrong in this case: correct me, i thought NTFS was better for systems that can support it)
  5. Activation can be passed off quite easily, as i have to do it everytime i re-install windows on my PC. I had a similar problem to this, and when i phoned microsoft they did give me a key, but then 30 days later we got a letter through about how our key was invalid, and we had to pay a £50 fee towards it. So you dont need to phone microsoft, i can help you and provide the knowlage to get arround your problem (which is perfectly legal if you o own a legal copy of windows)
  6. I did it with the normal windows permissions thing. One problem, there is no permissions box coming up, i think this is because i am on XP home. Any more ideas? Thanks for the replys, Rob

  12. Yes google stores the meta info, but it also caches the whole page and indexes the images Also if you were to start your own search engine good luch (and many in a few years you will start your own web domination scheme, just like google, not many people know just how big their empire is (things like google earth and google labs are just the start))
