Good thing you asked me if the card was AGP or PCI-E cause I was just about the buy a PCI-E motherboard when it turns out that I have a AGP card. Thanks ripken you just saved me some money. So my new question now is should I sell my geforce 6800 gt (AGP) and buy a cheaper pci-e card with a pci-e motherboard. I heard that you should get pci-e cause they are a lot better then agp, but i'm wondering if I should just save my money and keep my geforce 6800 gt (256mb and 256bit) and get a agp motherboard. Thanks for your words, turns out kingstons cheaper so i'll be getting that and get a better motherboard the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket939/...d/overview.htm# I'm a bit worried that this motherboard isint compatible with my video card. It says that it has a NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset. Does that mean it only takes nForce4 video cards or will it take the geforce6? Sorry for all the questions I just really don't know. Thanks

Hey all just need some advice for my first pc build. The main use will be for gaming and multi-tasking, like downloads, burning cds, running firewalls and possibly running a server. I just want something fast for games and no lag, I hate lag. Budget is 2,300. So far this is what I'm looking at: Motherboard: MSI AMD-64 K8N-Neo4 939socket Processor: AMD Athlon64 3800+ 939pin 512k Memory: Platinum 184pin 1-Gig DDR 400MHZ DUAL CHANNEL Platinum 184pin 1-Gig DDR 400MHZ DUAL CHANNEL Harddrive: Maxtor 200 gig Max-10 16MB Cache with a Geforce 6800 GT 256mb videocard already owned I'm wondering if all these things are compatible and if the AMD 64 is what I want for my needs.
