thanks for checking it out for me ! if you have time could you please tell me how to tailor it to the program that it needs to be associated with. Why doesn't W2K recognize a pbk file but XP does ? regards, Mike

Hi, my knowledge regarding VPNSs could be written on the back of a postage stamp so please bear with me :-) Just downloaded a program which should ofer me a choice of several VPN locations on my W2k computer - the program is OK because it works on my other computer which has xp on it. The program has a pbk extension. Anyway the program doesn't have a dial up phone book logo which it has on my xp machine. Depending on which program I associate the pbk file with I get either an "empty" or a dial up networking box when I click on it. Any help would be appreciated. many thanks, Michael
