what pxe server are u using?

just use a automated cd installation normally, but can't use it on a computer without a drive

been using it for a longer time, just not from dos i don't believe in dos any more!

ok tried another computer and share is working now thx for the info!

yes tried that, didn't help dns, gateway ip and subnet all are filled in. Share has full access

i can ping the computer but when i want to connect to the share it says host not found

actually did it couple of months back without any prior knowledge and its quite simple, i guess u still have to do some reading to fine tune and security reasons but the default will already work

nothing rdc is the program and rdp is the protocol it uses

ok so i have a share of the cd, so i guess i'll have to use something like win98 boot floppy, but how do i set up networking in dos?

i have a couple computers and one server runnig linux without a cd drive, now i want to install 2000 server but i don't have a drive at hand, how can i facilitate a setup over the network? the server is a compaq with a pxe nic. I was thinking of finding a freeware pxe server or something cus i don't have dos drivers either. However i haven't found any server and have no idea how to do it otherwise any help is apreciated greetz mav.
