  1. Ooo, no I haven't, that's a great idea. Have to do that. Thanks.
  2. It's all good, no worrys bud, thanks for trying though. Yeah I was there before and all I was able to get was a listing. Almost all the pins were labled ground, nothing of any real help to me. I was so hoping that you were not going to say that. Found a listing of the pin outs Pin-Outs Pin Name Description 1 VCC +5V power supply 2 VCC +5V power supply 3 GND Ground 4 AC97CLK 24.5 MHz clock output 5 GND Ground 6 GP_SPDIFIN#2 SPDIF input signal 7 GND Ground 8 GND Ground 9 SPDIFO#3 SPDIF out Signal 10 GPO1 General Purpose Output #1 11 GPO2 General Purpose Output #2 12 GND Ground 13 GPO0 General Purpose Output #0 14 GND Ground 15 GP_ SPDIFIN1 SPDIF Input signal 16 GND Ground 17 GPDIFO#0 SPDIF Out signal 18 GND Ground 19 SPDIFO#1 SPDIF Out signal 20 GND Ground 21 GND Ground 22 SPDIFO SPDIF Out signal 23 GPI0 Digital Input (GP Input 0; Reserved) 24 GPI1 Digital Input (GP Input 1; Reserved) 25 OUTMIDI MIDI Output 26 GND Ground 27 INMIDI MIDI Input 28 GND Ground 29 KEY no pin 30 KEY no pin 31 ADCSDO2 I2S audio data input 32 GND Ground 33 ADCSDO1 I2S audio data input. 34 GND Ground 35 ADCSDO0 I2S audio data input 36 GND Ground 37 I2SCLK I2S serial bit clock 38 GND Ground 39 I2SFS Frame sync. 40 GND Ground Don't think I'll be able to do anything with that list.
  3. The wires from the tower have little pins that read: Return R Spkout R Ground Mic-In Return L Spkout L Ground Mic BIAS I can't remember the make or model of the case, it's a custom build that I had done over a year ago, and giving it to my daughter now that I have upgraded.
  4. That's not the problem, the pins are labled, I simply don't know where they would go if I wanted to connect them to this sound card. The pins on the sound card are made for the Creative Drive and I was hoping someone here might know which numbers could be used if I didn't have the Drive I/R, but it's looking like I'll have to settle for using the back ports for Mic and Line In.
  5. Hi, and thanks for reading. I have an older Sound Blaster Live, I think it was actually a Platinum, because it has the Audio Extension ( Digital I/O ) connector for an I/O card or Drive Bay. I have 8 wires from the front a tower that I would like to connect to this card if possible. I have googled around for a bit and havn't been able to find any documents that lable the pins, but I have a diagram of the card so you'll know excatly what I'm talking about. The wires from the tower have little pins that read: Return R Spkout R Ground Mic-In Return L Spkout L Ground Mic BIAS I've seen a diagram a few years back, but I didn't have this card until last month. Thanks, Mark Sound_Card.bmp
  6. OH MY GOD, DUDE IT WORKS!!! I uninstalled the FX 5200, restarted, then installed in again, and it found the monitor, but it was monitor 3. There was a Default on 9800 Pro Secondary, so I uninstalled that, whatever it was, and restarted again, and now it's 2. Woot Woot!!!! I still have the Default on 9800 Pro Secondary, but now that monitor is 3. Not sure what it's for, maybe it's a space reserved for HDTV or S-Video. Thanks, Mark
  7. Hi, thanks for reading. I've been using a FX 5200 PCI for awhile that I purchased while I was waiting for this AIW to arrive in the mail (it was out of stock and took 2 months, so I found a FX 5200 new for $30 at Office Depot to use during the wait.) During that wait I decided to hook up two monitors to the dual VGA. I just got the 9800 Pro All In Wonder AGP last weekend, and I'm trying to figure out a way to have two monitors with this card. I know that XP can run 2 video cards, if they will work with each other. If I use both cards, and tell the motherboard to use PCI for primary video, both cards work, and have a great picture, but I want to use the AIW as my primary video card, because it kicks the snot out of the other card any day of the week, and twice on sunday. BUT - If I tell the motherboard to use AGP as primary video, then the other card won't work at all. It's in the Device Manager, and it says it's working, but I can't seem to get a pciture at all. If I turn on the other monitor, it says "Input signal out of range". This is on a TFT Monitor that was working just fine 3 minutes ago. Should I not use the FX 5200 and try to find a way to have two monitors on the AIW? It has a DVI, S-Video and a HDTV on the back. Anyway to find a S-Video to VGA convertor? If I had known that I would love using 2 displays so much, I simply would have purchased a normal 9800 PRO and a tv tuner. Here's my two cards. http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/FeedBa...N82E16814102297 http://www.shentech.com/pnygefx5212d1.html Computer is the one in the signature. Thanks, Mark.
  8. Bump-- I'm hoping someone out there can help with this. I sent an email to Thermaltake also, but no help yet. Maybe they aren't working on the weekend. I'm gonna try taking out the battery or replacing it, it came with 2, and I'll post back with results incase anyone reads this thread with a similar problem later. Edit -- Took out the battery for a few seconds and put it back, everything works now.
  9. Hi, and thanks for reading. I just installed a Thermaltake Hardcano 13, 6 in 1 card reader http://www.thermaltake.com/accessories/a22...9hardcano13.htm and it seems to work great, except it won't stop flashing red. At first it was blue, but there was no card reader, so then I changed the usb to a different place, and it installed correctly, but now it won't stop flashing. My alarm is set to 70 C, and it's not getting higher than 30. Windows XP MCE , Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe.
  10. Thanks, for some reason I didn't think of that. I looked around Newegg, ZipZoomFly and eBay. I'll try going to their sites next.
  11. Wow, thanks for the tip. Gonna turn on a movie or a game to clear my head for a bit. I'll search when I get back.
  12. What does that mean? I never did RAID before so I'm not familiar with all the terms.
  13. Has anyone seen a place that sells the faceplates for the DVD/CD rom drives? I have a black tower with a few beige drives, and it looks a bit strange. Also needing a black creative drive ir, and floppy. I would just paint them but then I would have no lables for the creative drive. Thanks. Mark.
  14. Wow, quite a lot of information there, thanks. I created the raid in thet Nvidia BIOS, pressing F10, first I tried using the SIL 3114, but that didn't seem to work, windows just couldn't find it at all. I installed the RAID CLASS DRIVER and the Nforce Storage Controller. But still didn't work. Then after I left this post, I tried to install XP on just one harddrive. It installed ok, then after the restart I got this strange message that I have never seen before, and been working with computers for nearly 5 years now....Windows was unable to start because it lost the path or something, plase consult your disk management manual. ????? It's after 3 am here so I said whatever and turned it off. I'll have to go through your stuff first thing in the morning, I'm about useless now. Thanks for the ideas.
  15. Hello, and thanks for reading. I just put together a new computer, done this before and this is the first time I have setup RAID so there might be something there, also this is the first time I have had a boot disk larger than 120 GB. Don't know if that's still an issue, but I remember windows had trouble with that. I have an Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe, AMD 64 3800+, 2 WD Raptors 74 GB, Windows WP MCE. If you want anymore info just ask. I setup RAID 0, stripped, on the NVIDIA, got it to recognize both hard drives as one 138 GB. When I got to the install screen, there were 2 drives, I had to format one, making it a C: and then installed. The computer restarted, showed me all the info, and then read Press any key to boot from cd.... and stayed there. So made it to the install screen again, formatted the other harddrive as F: and then installed. The computer restarted, showed me all the info, and then read Press any key to boot from cd.... and stayed there. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!! Please post any ideas, thanks. Mark. Spent a bit of time reading this forum, usually I post at http://forum.pcmech.com No one seems to be there now so I figured I would give this board a try.
