  1. Argh, if there is a forum admin, I posted this in wrong place. Should be in the WINPe forum. Is there a way to move it? I can copy the content to a new post if you want to delete the post.
  2. All, Well, i am new here but have found some good info. Unfortunately none of it has fixed my issues. Here is the deal. I have hundreds of HP servers ranging from the G2's to the new G4's. The G4's are really getting annoying. I am trying to leverage ADS and the Windows Server Deployment Solution Accelerator to image and deploy my servers. It requires the use of Windows PE to install the baseline computers. When I build the CD, I do it as the directions state to the "t". they even ran the test on the G2's and it worked fine for them. Anyway, everything goes good until the WinPE opening screen launches. I can see the background, the command console titled startnet.cmd and then the little configuring screen pops up. It configures the Display just fine, but get a little RED "X" next to the Setting up Network piece. Then, the mapped drive stuff fails and not of the ipconfig, net, or dhcp stuff works. they all fail. It appears as though the IP layer is never trully installed properly. I have tried nearly everything I can think of. I have even opened a premier ticket with MS to help. We tried several different drivers, including ones from HP and straight from Broadcom. None of them helped. We edited the INF files and everything. Please help if you can and if you have experienced this issue, let me know what you did to fix it. Heck, I haven't even gotten to the problems I will probably experience with the 6i controller in these. If anyone has any advice on that, let me know. On a side note, I am so irritated with the fact that all vendors are switching to this Broadcom stuff (cra%p). I remember when we had the intel/3com stuff that everything worked with. thanks in advance. Oh yeah, these have the integrated dual Broadcom gigabit nics.
