I have been losing my mind for 2 days trying to figure this out. I had a M281fdw printer and it installed ok in Windows XP, then it crapped out after about 4 years and I got an M283fdw, almost the same exact thing, but the driver will not install no matter what I seem to do. I have tried many fixes and certificate updates. The driver downloads in my windows 10 pc and shows a valid digital signature, but in XP it doesn't. Is it possible to get this printer installed in XP? HP site has a driver for Windows XP 32, but it keeps giving me an error installing. When I look at the file properties it shows HP Inc. but no date for the timestamp. In Windows 10 there is a timestamp showing for the same file.
