Photo above showed my old asus eeepc netbook that i bought in 2008 that was originally came installed with xandros, but was upgraded to windows xp afterwards like many netbooks did at the time, because xp was low resource and could run on low spec, was also very functional despite xp being from 2001 I remember reading about how bill gates was giving out free winXP license to manufacturers so that was why all netbooks ditch xandros. Was bill really giving out xp to oem like this? This thing also only pkays games in full screen when plugged to a monitor, the screen is too small so alot of games have problems with it. The netbook does not power on anymore, the power supply is broken and i dont know where to find a new third party one, but oh well. Oh there was a netbook craze back then, everyone in college at the time had one

photo above shows the acer 4710 laptop that i bought in 2009 during college, it was discounted during the advent of win7, and this replaced my asus eeepc which cannot display most games on the small screen. my username is written in the photo, to show this is really mine. the laptop cannot power on BC the external psu is gone. so I do know that the vista was still around in2009, I never thought or said that vista only lasted 1 year in 2006, only that I built a desktop pc to run vista longhorn back in 2006. I've done nothing wrong but I'm banned from posting in my own thread on hardware hangout, I'm unable to speak out for myself after having been wrongly accused. I asked that I be allowed to have my say, because i never said vista era lasted only 1 year.

Thank you for the detailed info. I much appreciate it. Vista pcs are all but extinct here, the humid climate here killed off most desktop within the 2006 period. On windows 8, i found alot of old win98 games to be working fine, and there are drm fixes that works there as well. Anywho, someone got the server version of windows 8 (win2012) installed on lattepanda v1 here: https://www.lattepanda.com/forum/topic/312990 But no idea if anyone here made any modded intel hd graphics drivers, for the atom x5-z8350 cpu that it has, although the lattepanda v1 is still being manufactured.

Has anybody bought a PC recently that could roll back to win7/8 with graphics drivers working? Tried using DXWND on Windows 10 to run my old games but its not working. Win10 also refused safedisc/securom/starforce protected games, tried the workaround but its less than 50/50 chance of it working. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance.

I havent bought the mini pc yet, bc im unsure if it works with win7

Im looking to buy a gmktec branded mini pc, with Celeron N4100 with uhd600, there appears to be win7 graphics drivers for it , but its for dell systems; "Intel UHD Graphics This package contains the Intel UHD graphics 600 and P600 driver for 9th generation Intel processors. A graphics or video driver is the software that enables communication between the graphics card and the operating system, games, and applications." Yesterday i tested some old games on my old pc upgraded to win10, but more than half of them didnt work, and no one had made any fix for them, nor are the games on steam/gog. So I need win7/8. My old pc is failing. Someone got win8 installed on lattepanda v1, but no mention of whether intel graphics working there or not.

I tried to install the drivers since last month but unfortunately it doesnt work. My vista is running in 32bit, but apparently the drivers require 64bit. Sadly 64bit vista requires 11gb HDD and my thin client's 7gb SSD does not have enough space, unfortunately. Thank though for helping me with this, i much appreciate all the help, thank you again

i successfully installed vista onto a HP thin client, as seen above, which featured integrated graphics chipset located within the CPU i tried installing Radeon graphics driver on Vista, but the windows 7 installer doesn't work on vista vista's device manager also does not see my folder containing the graphics driver i'm so close to getting AERO theme as well as games running. please assist. thanks in advance.
