  1. Hola folks- having a spot of trouble with w2k3 and use of hardware mouse (I think). In short, the computer bluescreens, performs a memory dump and gives this error: ------------- Event Type: Error Event Source: System Error Event Category: (102) Event ID: 1003 Date: 06/02/2005 Time: 14:18:23 User: N/A Computer: ASTSPC Description: Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 8656ee22, parameter3 f428f8d4, parameter4 00000000. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Data: 0000: 53 79 73 74 65 6d 20 45 System E 0008: 72 72 6f 72 20 20 45 72 rror Er 0010: 72 6f 72 20 63 6f 64 65 ror code 0018: 20 31 30 30 30 30 30 38 1000008 0020: 65 20 20 50 61 72 61 6d e Param 0028: 65 74 65 72 73 20 63 30 eters c0 0030: 30 30 30 30 30 35 2c 20 000005, 0038: 38 36 35 36 65 65 32 32 8656ee22 0040: 2c 20 66 34 32 38 66 38 , f428f8 0048: 64 34 2c 20 30 30 30 30 d4, 0000 0050: 30 30 30 30 0000 ------------- ..whenever I launch a program that requires high-end graphics use. With one such program (a game) I can stop the crash happening by disabling hardware mouse use before booting the game; it seems HM is causing the crashes. I've tried a new motherboard, a complete reinstall of the OS, a new hard drive, and a new graphics card. All of it for nowt- it still bluescreens (but hey, I've had a lovely upgrade...). In short, has anyone had a similar problem and know how to solve or bypass it, or does anyone have a suggestion about what exactly could be causing it and what a suitable cure might be? I'm getting a tad fed up with it. Microsoft knowledge base doesn't have the exact problem listed. Suggestions please, I'm getting fed up of it!
