thank you. i looked for the post, but thats not the way i want to install office.

but a hint in the thread made me try the office install without the "-" option and this brought the follwing error message:

if i choose the "ignorieren" option, the setup will finish without any problems and the applications work fine.

I use autoit script to press Ignore button. I had the same problem. Please try attached script. But it was for english version.

[USB pen drive problem after nlite]

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with usb pen drive after installing win xp sp2 with hotfixes with nlited. It is not the problem with nlite. But I use nlited cd with RVM update pack 2.0.4. Everytime normal user try to plug in usb drive, windows ask for administrator password. I did not have that problem before. I know it's something 2 do with permision. I set allow add or remove removable media, load and unload device driver settings in active directory.Still it requires admin credential. It is not a problem for one user. But it is the big problem for several user with different pen drive. Does anyone know how to allow anyone to use usb drive without requiring admin's credential?

[Nlite Addon]

I use ORK, Office Reducer and Autoit Script. My full Office 2003 with SP2 is only 125 MB. First you need to make transform file using ORK. You can also put serial number there. Then use office 2003 reducer which will make the source for installation quite small by just copying the file required by what you select to install in answer file. Then use 7-zip to reduce more. Fixed it...you need to selected in Compatibility Wizard Windows Activation and I added few more files to keeping...changed the title...all in all wait next version and thank you

You make my life easier! Nlite is the best thing ever happen to me.

But I still have the problem stated above. I added 39 hotfixes directly into nlite. Everything is fine if I don't sysprep my pc to make image for rest of the computers. But after I run sysprep and reboot I have c_20127.nls file missing error. When I press cancel, it went through fine. But it is a big delay for me when I deploy 100 computers coz I have to press cancel for each pc. I used RC1 through RC6 and I selected the compatilibity for windows activation and sysprep check box. Any advice for me please. Many Thanks

[Add programs to my slipstreamed disk]

Hi ppl,

Bare with me as i am new to all this stuff,

I have slipstreamed XP with all the latest updates and tweaked settings to save me time when windows is fully installed,

I used nLite and then used Microsoft Virtual PC to see if it works and it works a treat.

I know the page in nLite where it asks but i undestand it must be cab file and not exe as it won't work.

i use offise pro 2003, nero 6 reloaded, ad-awre personal, avg, microsoft antispyware, spybot search & destroy, spyware blaster and another few programs.

As i format my hard drive every few months it would be alot more quicker for me to add these programs to the xp disc to save me installing each one by one.

Can anyone shed some light on this as i want to add my prgrams i always install to the xp disc.

Also i do have a DVD-Rewriter so i can put it on a dvd disc.

I did manage to put AVG & adobe reader on the disc and they installed perfectly, not sure which site it was but i was able to download them as CAB files. but how do i go about adding my other programs as these are not CAB files?

I like to ask few questions. I am buying new printer for small workgroup (30-35) computers. My choice was between Dell 3000cn (£195) or Dell 5100cn (£475). Are there any brand that will match the price and performance and durability,etc ? Accept all suggestion. Thanks

Hello everyone!

I am new to this forum. I like to know how to get MAC address of particular pc and match with its ghost image. So far I managed to make a ghost image ( run sysprep before I made image). Put it on server. Then client pc use network boot disk to connect to server and get the image. The problem for me is that I have 4 sets of different hardware. So I need to make 4 different images and assign to proper pc according to MAC address. Then assign the computer name according to MAC address to join Domain. Your help is appreciated.
