MS OutlookXP (2002) problem with GMail
HighDarkTemplar replied to HighDarkTemplar's topic in Microsoft Office
I can ping the server and I've checked your "checkpoints". They are all as you say. I belive there is an alternate port you can use for SMTP. As last time i configured for GMail i didn't use port 465. Best Regards Nerevar -
You forgot the so called "underage" guys, i'm almost 16 :-) Best Regards Nerevar

Tried both methods, but no result. The auto config seems to only work with outlook express, and i've done exactly what it says in the manual config thingy......... Best Regards Nerevar -

What can I remove? Any reg tweaks?
HighDarkTemplar posted a topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
What can I remove from the standard WINXP cd setup? I am looking for unneccesary programs (ie Wordpad, MSN Explorer&Outlook Express). Can I remove theese without and drawbacks? And what programs won't function without them if it is any? Is it something other that you recommand me to remove? I'd also like to remove some of the games that's standard. I'm running Office XP if that's give some limits. I am also looking for some registry tweaks that probably improve my performance. Best Regards Nerevar -

I voted for no and I really hate smokers. The scent hangs up in your clothes and your skin. The stinking smell gives a headache and it's going cold down my back....... Best&cold regards Nerevar

Still remember Perfect Dark, Goldeneye 007, Donkey Kong, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie all from the good old Nintendo 64. If I may say it, the best console ever. It had the best games. Perfect Dark lasted four years with constant playing (right after school, five min of homework and then away to play). Long since i played it, planning to begin again soon. You'll see, I played it so much that i got way to tired of it............ Best Regards Nerevar

A friend of mine got it and he says that it is amazing. Alot of new things, also the things that dissappeared in the 3rd edition have got back. Going to try it tomorrow............ Best Regards Nerevar

Yes, right, and you need a BIG USB stick! jaclaz <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How big? I've got one at one gig so it should hold for a slim XP install or a standard win2k, me or 9x on it :-) Best Regards Nerevar

In theory it is possible. Say that you have an external hdd that is at least 20 gig. Make a cd that installs the driver on the system and also make the system search for the external hdd and boot from it. From there you could have a standard installation which runs trough every s*** that you've got on it and installs it correctly and silently. Just think about it, start the process when you are going to bed and the next morning, everything is finished and it is just to continue where you left off............ Best Regards Nerevar

Just some stuff asking me to specify a port, and it recommanded port 18002. Is everything connected to the internet in some way? Best Regards Nerevar
-
First, i dunno if this fits somewhere else, could a moderator/administrator please move this if it's the wrong place? My question; UDP port 18002, what is it, where is it, what does it do and is there anything i'll need to know about it? Stumbled over it today :-) Thanks in advance, Best Regards Nerevar

I don't know about firefox features but opera have mouse gestures, download manager (restart downloads, pause, continue), mail, chat. Also java support. Shortly said, almost everything. Also the price for removing the banners is around 50 us dollars........... Best Regards Nerevar
