  1. I have fireworks 8 working OK as a silent installer but the problem comes when launching it. I use an unattended script (at the runonce stage) to install pcs for a network so user accounts are restricted. When a standard user launches it, they get the error: "Your user privilages do not allow Fireworks to update your registry" If i log on as a admin user, run it, then log back in at a normal user its fine so i made a installer package that picks up the changing reg keys and have them install during the buld process but its not that simple as I think it creates a unique key for each PC. Is there any way to stop this or integrate it into a batch file as im trying to get the install process as unattended as possible. I have also tried the start command from the batch file to launch fireworks as the admin user runonce runs as and a utility to close it after a minute but the error still appears, you still have to manually run and close it once logged in as an admin user or the runonce account I read an artical with the same problem on adobes site but this referes to fireworks 4, there must be an easy fix for 8? cheers Sc00by

  5. hi all, I've managed to get a huge amount of apps to install silently and without problems apart from one! and thats quicktime. Im using the QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe along with the .ini file It seems to install OK, but once it moves onto another app a dialog box pops up saying that qtplugininstaller.exe has generated an error. When within windows it generates an error in the eventlog: Faulting application qtplugininstaller.exe, version 6.5.1.17, faulting module quicktime.qts I think this is the bit that runs in the taskbar? i might be wrong but since windows has not reached this stage then this might be why its generating an error? Can someone help plz? Im on my last app and im ready to burn a proper dvd
