hi, this happened during remote programme installation (java applet was running). computer hanged up and after reboot all the icons were gone? huh... if i boot in safe mode the problem remains the same. but if i change user i.e. log-in under different user name then everything is o.k. - icons are back. this may be (my last) option how to solve the problem... but will take me quite some time to re-arrange and transfer all the settings to the new user. any ideas?

Hello, all my desktop and toolbar icons disappeared? See attached a screen shot of my desktop. On desktop I only see programme descriptions but no icons. The same is true for explorer. I have ran antivirus and ad-aware with latest signatures but no spyware and/or viruses were found. Any ideas what may be wrong? Thank you, Marko
