  1. Thanks for your reply I did try the ipconfig command before without result, but after a driver upgrade the ipconfig command does work. So thanks for helping me sort it out!!
  2. It was a lucky weekend. I did solve my problem also. I first did upgrade the driver of the NIC and change the DHCP scope from 192.168.x.x to 172.x.x.x and it runs. So lucky us Good Luck Skyworld
  3. Hai, no solution from here , Just wan't to let you know that you don't strugle alone. I've got a same sort of problem connecting my Win2000 laptop to my home network. And i'm also still waiting for ans answer. So good luck for the two of us
  4. Is no option, It's a laptop with NIC onboard. But why does it work at the office without any problems, and doesn't function at all at home?
  5. Did delete and re-install tcpip, delete nic, etc etc. No result. i'm still logging in at the office with the same machine, no problem at all. Strange huh

  7. Hai I've got a Dell laptop from the office which i wan't to use ad home. Add the office it connects with a dhcp-server. Add home i've got a dhcp-server as well, but i can't get it to work. it just can't connect to dhcp. A static ip doesn't function as well. Cable's etc are tested. Any sugestions?
  8. NIC? Do you mean network adapter? It does function at the office so why doesn't it function at home?
  9. It's all cabled, yes it's Cat5 and tested. Plugged on other PC's works well Tried Static ip also, no result. I can only ping to myself (127.0.0.1 and the self assigned IP)
  10. Hai, I want to connect my laptop from the office at my local network. I don't have to connect to workgroups or domains, i just want to retreive a ipadres from my dhcp router. I can't get it to work. If i connect my laptop to the network at the office it get's an IP without any problems. Our Operator doesn't understand it and says that my dhcp server doesn't function. But al my other (XP) machine's works well and i've got enough room left on my leasetable, Please Help
